for a  casein paint workshop.

Casein is an ancient type of water-soluble opaque paint based on casein, a milk protein. With a gouache or tempera-type finish, unlike them, it cures permanently when it dries.

Of all water-based paints, casein is visually and technically the most similar to oil paint since it allows it to be worked on when wet or to make thin, transparent layers of colors when dry.

During this workshop, we will learn more about its origins and explore its many ways of using it. From preparing the pigments to testing them, you will be guided and encouraged to apply this versatile and ancient paint and the possibilities it offers.
