Studio Luz is thrilled to present Ghostlilies, a group exhibit featuring Lauren Vanzandt-Escobar's new etchings and a series of handmade paper with embedded and collaged etchings.

Lauren has been working on prints of architectural spaces and exploring how to recombine the printed images in order to negotiate and re-imagine the boundaries between different structures in the imagery. During her last print and paper-making residency at La Ceiba Grafica in Veracruz, Mexico, she created a series of etchings and handmade paper in which she embedded prints during the preparation of the paper. The result is exquisite. For her first show at the Studio Luz, Lauren invited friends to accompany her, the painter Joanne Chong and the Mexican artists Fernanda Saavedra and Antonio Bolaños who will be exhibiting some drawings.
